Our technology overview

Piezoelectric Ultrasonic Motors with built-in encoder

Tekceleo’s motors are renowned for their progressive wave actuator technology and integrated control sensors, making them highly efficient in terms of torque-to-weight ratio, and easy to control in “Direct Drive.”

With a wide range of performance capabilities, our WAVELLING® technology allows for nominal speeds ranging from a few RPM to 600 RPM depending on the motor type, without the need for a reducer, ensuring minimal backlash or jerks. Our piezo motors are among the best in class for low speed/high torque ratios, with a unique expertise in very small rotary piezo actuators.

As a pure mechanical actuator, our motors operate without any electromagnetic fields or ferromagnetic materials, making them ideal for use in applications where these materials are not suitable. The rotor is moved by a progressive wave of a vibrating stator with multiple continuous contact points, providing an excellent balance between size, power, and precision.

TEKCELEO offers the following actuators, all of which allow non-magnetic configurations for MRI environments:

All of our drives incorporate speed/position sensors and can incorporate torque sensors depending on the application.
